something always goes wrong when i'm sewing...i think it has lots to do with the fact that i'm always so excited to have a finished product! GRRR!!!

Something always goes wrong for me too! I think it's due to excitement too....because I really work my sewing machine. I have burned up the motors on two already! lol....I like to sew,and I get in a rush to finish so I can see how it looks. What can I say :D
I break needles, even break those crappy plastic bobbins....or the worse,is when the thread gets all knotted up inside and the whole machine locks up....that's annoying.

or the thread tension is wrong and you don't realize it and you get all those loops of thread on the back of whatever you're sewing that you have to take out!!! that's really annoying!
maybe it's just me that happens to lol.

I for some reason have always had trouble with the bobbin. DAMN YOU BOBBIN!!! The word 'bobbin' is just not looking right right now.

I despise the bobbin and when the tension goes wonky the poo hits the fan in my house....and i really like to be super stoned when i sew so sometimes that is bad as well and i end up ripping seams all nite...
i will always insist that it merely encourages my creativity tho... ;)

Or... When you're sewing the hem and you don't realize that you've sewn the front and the back of a skirt together. *coughs* That's happened to me one too many times. You'd think I'd learn by now, but nooooo.

God, it's SO annoying, isn't it? I'll be like "Woohoo! I'm sewing well tonight!" and then... it happens. I go to try it on so I can see if I like the hem... And then, oh, wait, I can't get my freaking feet through the bottom of the skirt. Grrrrr. (God, I'm such a loser) But, I think this will happen less when I get my sewing machine in like 2 weeks. :D

Hand sewing is such a pain in the ass.

Well, first I thread the needle. Then, I start sewing. :p

No, really, it's not that bad. I just can't churn out stuff like everyone else here. It takes me a week or so to do a normal dress, if I don't feel like rushing. Gehe, I'm so excited about getting the sewing machine, though. I feel like I won't be as upset when I mess up, because it won't take me as long to fix it, right? God, I hope I'm right...

When I took home-ec 1 a girl cut off part of her finger (tip) with a pair of scissors. When I took home-ec 2 a girl sewed over her finger. I always watch where my fingers are when I sew. I was and am traumatized by these events. O.O

omg, i do alll that stuff you guys do and then some! haha

Just last night, I was finishing up a dress...sooooo close to being done. Dakota was fussing, ready for me to lay her down. Papa was holding her and walking her around, trying to soothe her but still hearing her fuss was making me all tense and work faster. I was so close to being done and just wanted to hurry that last bit up...I was attaching a bodice to the skirt part and pinned and pinned and measured for what seemed like forevah! Finally, i quick like a bunny sewed it together, took the pins out (all the while papa and Kota standing next to me giving me 'the look' :() held it up and it was crooked. It just didn't look right to me..two of the panels were just....off. AHHHHHHHHH!!! There wasn't a chance in hell of me having an extra 10 minutes to cut it apart and fix it, so I was forced to put it down.

I made a sundress a couple of weeks ago and sewed the straps on totally crooked. Not once, but twice.
I also always have tension problems. And bobbin problems. And a habit of sewing openings shut, although it's mostly sleeves with me.
I am such a sewing spaz. But, I love it anyway!

I did almost the same thing as Cre, except when i was done and held it up, i had sewed the bodice to the wrong side (i.e. it was on the OUTSIDE of the dress). I've also done that when patchworking... sewn things the "wrong" way. Very frustrating...

I can't even tell you how many times i've whined and cried on James' shoulder because of stupid mistakes like that.
