Can anyone give me any idea of what it was like to be a part of the antiestablishment movement in the 60s? Or since we're all friends here, and open-minded at that, what it was like being pissed off at the antiestablishment movement in the 60s?

I don't remember it too well, in fact I was too young at the time to really know what was going on. I remember Dad saying he wished all "those long-haired hippie type freaks" (this was before everyone shortened everything to an acronym or 2-syllable phrase) would just lay off Nixon, "he knows what he's doing" (yea didn't he).
It wasn't till the 70s I realized I could be called upon to be issued a gun or some other form of humanitarian destruction and be ordered to bring order to this world via militarially organized chaos. I sweated 8 years while Reagan held the fate of the world in his trembling index finger. NURSE - NUKE Anybody remember that Phil Collins video?
I think the 60s were as scary as they were fun. I doubt if anyone will ever remember the 80s. I can only hope some of us from the good ol' days can recall a few jarring memories to help prevent another governmental faux pas that will require an antiestablishment movement.
