I found this on a web site because i have been freeking out all week long about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.... I am tested for pretty much anything, but would methadone show up or would they have to do a different test for it

Q: Does methadone show up as an "opiate" on drug tests?

    A:
Methadone does not cross react with the standard opiate drug screen. It must be specifically screened for.

yes it will show up as morphine I dont care who says diferant, what is the test for? work parole? it will stay in your urine for about 6 days. If a short acting opiate like h or hydromorphone last 4 hours and stays in urine for 4 or so one that last 24 hours is natuarly going to stay around almost perportionaly as long, fact been there done that got caught, talked to dr;s and lab techs I know what I speak of my friend 15 years in the opiate circus.

It is a long acting opiate, with about 300 hours before the ability to be undetected by standard drug tests. The reason they USE it for narcotic addiction is that it is so long acting, most patients only need to dose twice a day. It has a LONG half life.
