Who on God's green earth said Ocean City, Maryland is a hippie haven? If I had to personify O.C. it's more like a cop dressed up like a hippie, waiting to narc you out. A wolf in sheep's clothing perhaps. But NEVER a hippie haven. I can see why some unsuspecting visitors might be persuaded to think otherwise. They see a bunch of hemp, and tye-die, and head shops, and think, ooh, nice. NO IT IS NOT NICE!!! It's a trick!!! RUN, while you still can!!!

I briefly visited this adolecent hormone charged bordello of absolute crap this past weekend. It was SENIOR WEEK. I got rushed by 2 cops, who basically attacked my small 4' 11", 100 lbs. ass because they "thought I had contraband". It was a cigarette. A F**KING CIGARETTE! They proceeded to call a female officer, who frisked me, and found out (surprise, surprise) I didn't have a damn thing on me. Not a single thing, not a seed, not a stem, they didn't find S**T!!! And I still had to sit with these A**holes and explain my business to them. What's there to explain, I came up to this sh*thole thinking it would be nice to get away, and I almost get "put away" instead. FOR NOTHING! Because some idiot cops thought I was dumb enough to go walking around, smoking on the wacky.

Will wonders never cease? WHERE DOES THE MADNESS END???

I never see any cops down ocean city. I was gonna go up oc this weekend but change in plans

 

I dont think they can frisk you after a cigarette.... Pretty sure thats not probable cause.

yep, two summers ago i came outta a club in ocean city.... me and my friends were all rolling and there were cops on horses standing right at the door staring us in the eye.

then we found a spot to lay down on blankets by the ocean and the cops on horses came and shown a light on us and told us we couldnt be there.

that same summer, i had 10 friends that were renting a condo for the summer.... two of them were arrested to JAYWALKING!!

 

Lol, I was at OC this weekend, too with some friends. We probably walked right passed each other. There are a lot of cops there, but my friends and I didn't have any trouble with them. I have a friend who's a cop (or something like it, I'm not quite sure) and he had to go through some kind of special training. He did really well and they gave him some kind of star pin. Anyway, he gave the pin to me to put on my purse and he said that if I ever got pulled over for whatever reason, I should just show them the little star thing and they'd let it go. I have't had to use it yet, but it's still nice to have!

Anyway, I had fun in OC, but the wind really made it cold! I hope you have more fun next time!

Drive a few miles south to Assateague nexttime. Np structures, no inhabitants, just empty beach and horses.

I don't care where you are in Maryland from my experiences and everything I've heard - Maryland cops are the most intrusive assholes out of any state in the nation.

 

*sob* my friend is a cop in Maryland! He's one of the sweetest people I've ever met and he's so fair. they aren't all bad!

MOST of the Maryland cops are dicks, but I have a friend who is one, also, and he's a good guy.

Assateague Island was really nice, I did visit there briefly. It was soooo pretty and the horses were a bonus.

I'm planning a solo voyage to Rehoboth Beach sometime this summer. Hopefully, the cops up there won't fuck me up

 

maryland po-lice do suck ass...i dont know why they have to be such dicks...but i do love ocean city...it's not a hippie haven but it's a fun party city. and im a party girl, so it all works out. im goin down this weekend.

 

Despite living in Maryland for close to four years, I've never been to Ocean City. And after reading this post, it probably shouldn't be on the top of my list of places I should visit in the U.S. (I had never heard of Ocean Shitty being a hippie haven. It doesn't strike me as one that would be). But maybe it isn't difficult from many of the beach towns in NJ.

As for the Maryland cops, I've never had any run-ins with them. But then, most cops scare the shit out of me - well, except the Japanese cops (which actually I see very few of).

 

There's cops in Japan? (I'm just kidding... of course there are, there's no escaping the bastards )

What are they like? Are they mean? Do they use martial arts weapons???

Yeah, not all MD cops are assholes. One asshole was searching my car while the other female cop was hanging out and talking to me about her favorite Disney movies (the bastards always pull people over with two cop cars). And my neighbor's a cop and he's cool as hell. Of coarse, I know what you mean. IN GENERAL, MD cops are fucking hardcoree assholes. But let's not forget VA cops, they're the worst!!! Oh, and Louisiana cops are fucking awful, in general again, of coarse. Ocean City kinda rocks though. It's full of hot chicks and is one of the best places ever to people watch. There are sooooo many funny people down there to watch! Rednecks (oh my gee golly are there a lot of rednecks there!), families, sketchy folks, and there were sooooo many people who were red as lobsters (sunburned)! I do prefer to enjoy the beach somewhere else, for me OC is all about people.

 

Hippie, most of the Japanese cops are very friendly. If they do carry weapons, I think they use sticks. They're a lot friendlier than Maryland cops, I'm assuming.

 

I, as well, am planning a solo visit to Rehoboth this summer....

it's so nice and relaxing yet fun there....
