THIS is horrible

I accidentally posted this in psychedelics, so i figured it wouldnt hurt to post it where i MEANT to post it, even though most of u probably read there too.. oh well.
Has anybody heard of that austrailan girl who's luggage was found with 9 lbs of pot in it at an airport in Indonesia. She says it was planted, and i believe her b/c how stupid could somebody be to try to get 9 lbs of pot through an airport, and that shit happens all the time in places like that... anyway, she is on trial and if she is found guilty, guess what? Death by firing squad.

I dont really care if she did it or if it was planted. But DEATH. I'm outraged over this.

yeah, it's very big news over here at the moment; schapelle corby is the woman being tried for allegedly trying to smuggle over 4 kilos of pot into bali. very awful for her if she's innocent. she's claiming that it was planted.
so it's all over the news right, then after that these 9 aussie guys were found smuggling heroin strapped all over their bodies. man..... the thing is, that's the law there. going through those goddamned airports, there's signs everywhere saying "if you're caught smuggling drugs, you will be facing a sentence of death!!" so there's no question. bloody crazy.

 

yeh, that how it is over there. i dont thik the judges like her either. i dont. if you saw some whining yobbo mexican woman, and she was being tried by some southern judges for smuggling in, say, kilos of cocaine in her bag, and she claims somone put them in there, and then went on to tell the judges 'dont look to your laws, look to your hearts. ask your god what to do' and all that, then do you recon theyd find her innocent?

i think she might be guilty but they would make it a jail sentence. thats just my hunch. the verdict is at the end of this month.

and yes phoenix your silly, smuggling happens all the time, thats why its such a big crime, its a large and serious problem over there, and theres also 8 or 9 people being tried for heroin smuggling atm.

i dont think she did it, caus of the way its all unfolded on the news, but i think she could very well have, and for the indonesian judges, they could see it this way easily.

i wonder if it would cause a war haha

Then again, if you want to smuggle something threw, put it on somebody else, watch that person, make sure you beat them off the plane, and steal their luggage.

You guys should watch a movie called Brokedown Palace. Its about these 2 american girls who go over to indonesia for vacation, and eventually some guy plants coke in their luggage. Well, theyre thrown in prison, and the US government lobbies the shit out of Indonesia and one girl gets let out. One girl is still there. Terrible stuff, the prisons look horrible.

Its a true stoey as well. Pick it up, its well worth it.

 

there's no way that that lady was smuggling weed. Who's stupid enough to try and carry pounds right through the airport.

I read a few articles on it and I believe she was framed. Are they going to believe an Australian woman? I don't know.

 

why would you waste 9 LBS of pot to setup some random person? unless they were going to try and steal the luggage...

yeah, on the way into indonesia, there are dozens of signs saying "possesion= death"

or something to that affect... we have a friend that's living in thailand, and he came up for a month and told us a bunch of stories...

but yeah, there really isnt capital punishment in thailand, but there was a meth (yabba or something.. i dunno, a bunch of chinese chemists came into northern thailand and started producing a bunch of meth pills) epidemic out there... the prime minister vowed to rid the problem by the king's birthday... what they'd do is they'd kick down the dealer's doors and shoot them. they'd take down the user's names, and post them in newspapers and whatnot, so that the pushers would read it and kill the users themselves...

but yeah, the problem was over by the king's birthday...

also, with terrorism, if they belive you are a terrorist, they'll kick down your door and shoot you... plus the prisons are terrible.. a 20x 20 fenced area with about 60 men...

the guards (out of the kindness of their hearts) pass out cotton balls so that the prisoners can put them in their ears because theres this little cockroach type bug that crawls in your ear and lays eggs behind your eardrum... when they hatch, you have a bunch of little baby cockroachest crawling around inside your head...

but if you have enough money, you should be pretty safe from the law..
