How young is too young

I"m not advocating that little kids should smoke pot, but I have to disagree with the statement that it makes a difference what age you are when you start smoking. It causes the same amount of harm no matter how old you are, physically speaking.

THC was a common ingredient in baby medicines befeor it becamne illegal. MEDICINE!!!! not an intoxicant. or stress reliever or anything. i think 12 would still be a little too young to be smokin pot, but thats when it starts becoming acceptable in my book.

And im not talking morals either..im talking science just like you. But when your young and your mind is developing..common you cant tell me that getting high doesnt effect your development process, young or old.

 

no matter how old you are when you start smoking, any effects that marijuana will have, it will happen no matter how old you are. There is no proof whatsoever that MJ affects brain development. So in order for there to be proof that it varies with age, there first has to be proof it affects the brain at all.

 

lol, when you get high...you get really hungry and relaxed right? alot of people start to forget things(like me) and there memory goes to crap. there is the proof that it has an effect on your brain. btw please note that im very tired..been up sense 2pm yesterday..so i might wake up after sleep and realize that im wrong..you never know.

 

Just because it effects your brain does not mean it has a negative effect on development.

That said, if you're tired or whatever, there's no point in trying to convince you of my point so I'll leave it at that.

It's a hard question for me, because I started so young. My step-sons are that age or older and I wouldn't want them doing it yet, so what a hypocrite am I?

 

i will agree with moe and stonr. when u know what it is exactly that ur doing, u can take hits, but when ur 4? that's a little young, i think.

4 years old is way too young, if I ever have kids I'm going to wait until they're about 14 or 15...

 

The only reason I would say 4 is to young, is due to the fact that a 4 year old cannot think, or make logical decisions on his own! It is not practical to set an age for a particular individual, due to there own personal opinion, and morals.(Which they don't have at the age of 4!)
