ok... i assume this is a celebration of schwag... right? ;)

schwag is great... it ain't the most potent, by any means...

but it gets the job done...

and it bakes in brownies nicely!

    *giggles*

The Schwag is a band. The origin of the name can be found at www.theschwag.com under faqs.

I am going to try to go to all the Schwagstocks! Now that I live in St. Louis it's not a very far drive for me! Hope to see ya'll there!

The Schwag is a Dead tribute band, and truly nice guys. I've played (once) with them, and had them in my house to crash. (see the set list for the Firehouse, Norman, OK March 31, 2001)
I posted about then two hip forums incarnations ago and someone asked if I was the girl dating Jimmy's son. er... I'm the age of Jimmy, y'all.
Shwagstock is their family party and show.
I've never heard bad reviews on the event as a whole.
    Def a good campout!

Hey Sunfey The (Un) Official HipForums Schwagstock Meet up is gonna be in front of the Stone Lodge at 2 pm Saturday Afternoon. Just look for my huge *ss (4ftX6ft) Hip Forums Meet Up Sign. For first time Schwagstock attendees: The Stone Lodge is on the left as you're facing the 2nd stage. Its right behind the NORML/ACLU booth. You can get maps at either the entrance or at the Welcome Center located near the begining of Shakedown Street. See ya'll there.

ummmm how will you be disposing of the dye/ water? It is toxic and needs to be handled a certain way.

    Sunny-
Good. That's similar to our system. we use baby food jars, so scrub day suuuuuuucks!
    50+ jars! uffff.

Jackstraw. It's important to leave a fest site clean so that the band doesn't wind up paying more in the future.
Just lookin' out for my bros.
"ummmmm" in my posts signifies the think-and-question response.
Not saying don't do it (although I would freak at having to set up "live" with dyes...that's why I paint (and my paint water goes in the "honey pots") at shows.

Pack lots of trash bags to seal for the cures, Sunny! pack extra because everyone will ask for one!

It looks like I may not be going to the May Schwagstock. I'm really tired from my 1,900 mile solo drive to Trail Days plus my dog needs some medical care. If I don't see ya'll at the May Schwagstock I WILL see ya at Wakarusa.

Made an unplanned trip 5 hours on a complete whim to check out my first Schwagstock. Good time. IT Really SUCKED to walk around on those fucking river stones on the foot paths. Made my old legs hurt. Other than that great fest ( no nugs was a bummer, but oh well). Special thanks to the vendors who took the time to help me find clothes to fit my wife and kids. Thanks Schwag, I'll be back to your fest.
