I'm going to watch the movie Closer sometime during the next couple of days. I've ready some good reviews and wonder what everybody else thought. I'll give my feedback once I see it
This is one I want to see also.. I've heard mixed reviews, but will go and see it for myself sometime soon.
I watched it last night and have yet to form a real opinion. The acting was really good. The story was a bit bleak and the idea of love and relationships was a little too dark and dependant for my liking. Sex was a big issue and insecurity a huge catalyst. I empathised with the emphasis on truth but thought that it was used really hurtfully and characters seemed to delve into their sex lives more than into their selves. Some really good lines though - I'm waiting. What for? For you to leave me. Without the truth, we are animals. and more that were swimming around my mind this morning but are not to be found now. I'd recommend the movie. While it may be a rather dark portrayal of love, it does give you something to think about and discuss afterwards. What does everybody else think?
I liked it...i loved the opening and the closing the best tho...Im a sucker for that Damien Rice song tho....Im also a sucker for Jude Law....tho in some parts of the movie he was not so attractive...
Very good flick. Great dialouge and an ending that makes you look back on the film with a different perspective.
hm..i guess i got to go and see this one now what?? i'm already looking forward to it any other films you guys wanna recommend for a little girl lost out on a little island in the far north? *lol* luv
Closer is really good. Real accurate portrayal of love and relationships, the acting was superb, all the lines were really great. I loved how though it's a pretty obvious and cliche story, there is still so much left to think about. And how everything connects. LOTS of those "OH.." moments when you realize something you didn't notice before. Stuff like that. I reccommend seeing Garden State, really shows the range of Natalie Portman's acting because she is a COMPLETELY different person in Garden State.
