The other day I smoked three bowls with a good friend of mine. The bud was really awesome, but I never asked what it was and she couldn't remember later on. We were laughin and carrying on havin a good time when i started to notice that she kept itching herself. all of a sudden i realized that she was breaking out in hives... all over! we freaked out and drove to the YMCA so she could take a shower, and she hid them from her parents that night buy wearing long clothes. But I'm totally freaked out by this. Is it normal or ok to break out in hives from smoking?

Well, no breaking out into hives isn't normal, but it probably isn't related to the weed. Could be something else in the environment. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless they don't clear up in a few days or if they happen everytime she smokes. I break out in random hives sometimes and it's no big deal unless they get persistant.

First thing that comes to mind would be how opiates can make some break out in hives and itch real bad. Maybe you smoked some opium? Did it smell like normal weed, look normal? Is this her first time smoking? It really could be a number of things.

    "Dank" isn't a kind of weed. It's an adverb/description.

Generally meaning bud of good quality. :p

Other than that, it probably wasn't the buds... hell, I've broken out in hives because I was allergic to a coloring they put in a type of cheese.

haha to be pedantic, its not an adverb, its an adjective. an adverb applies to describing 'verbs'. thats a pretty basic thing you should have learnt in primary school :p

Ask her if she has ever broke out with hives before. And if she has find out what triggered it and see if you can find similarities. It definately could be the smoke. Did you smoke all of those 3 bowls in a row? If so its definately not dank.
