We are seeing a movement towards the right. Not just moderate right, which I can handle, but actual earth-destroying capitalist self-absorbed politics. My question to all of you is: what are you doing or what will you start doing to save the world?

I'm getting a movement started, one that will start civilization off new. We need to break off and start our own colony on earth, to make a new beginning for us. No democrats, republicans, independants or otherwise, just people that care for the others around them and want nothing but peace. No religious wars, no drug wars, and certainly no greed. One may say, "you can't change emotion, greed will always exist", I disagree however.

A colony of thinkers and do'ers, a place where we can discuss theory and philosophy with an open-mind and find the true answers of the universe living WITH the land, as opposed to just ON the land.

Take a look at the link in my signature, it has more info and if you're interested, we'd love to hear your ideas.

As soon as I'm out of college and married my boyfriend and I are immedietly going to a farmland life. Sure we'll each have jobs (even though I'll have an additional 4 years of school... well I don't want to kill any animals) but the main basis is going to have our own food growing there, all that will be bought is what we can't get our hands on and probably cloth or what not so it will also be set up for our own clothes to be made. But we also know that hard times might come and the fact we work is going to make it a lot easier to get through them.

I do something everyday that makes life around me better. It may be small and insignificant in the big picture, but if everyone tried to do something small everyday, little by little, changes would be made. I can't control anyone but myself so I do what I can and that makes me satisfied.

right now i am contemplating what direction i want to take my life, considering getting involved in development programs in africa etc, basically right now i'm not in action mode,i'm not out there saving the world.. My parents were heavily into trying to find/make communities to foster "alternative" realities to running around the job maze etc... i can tell you that its very hard going living the community organizer role as it is with every aspect life, so i am very cautious in choosing a cause or revolutionary movement to seek out and be a part of. i want to be sure whatever i am a part of is in line with my heart and fostering humanity and the earth, but i dont know where i'm going yet!!!!! lol i gueuss i'm just waiting 4 my heart to signal me where to go.

    Great Philosophy...

Me, I made sort of a promise a few years back. I promised that if somebody asked for help, I would do what I can to help them. (of course, I won't hurt anyone.... I'm a pacifist!!)

The world is not really becoming more right, the right are just making it harder for people to be left. THere is a difference.

Here is a few reasons it seems that way:

    1. Afraid of being unpatriotic, or Patriotism being used as a way to sway opinions leads to conservative youth who simply lack understanding

    2. More control from the right makes people afraid to be left
