I grew up shooting weaponry at age 6. Grew up in the woods and around farmland. Grew up on my family's farm. I do believe in most hippy beliefs but at the same time, some of them are exaggerated and just full of it if you ask me. For one, I love my rifles. I don't mind war so much as if it is for the right reasons but at the same time, I love the music and most of the politics involved. I used to really be into the whole, no killing, no meat, no war type of hippy. Also, I began very deep meditation and had the time of my life.... problem was, I lost it in reality, I couldn't function with everything around me and I became an asshole because I realized everyone was just stupid. They talk ignorantly about war and killing and abuse. I think war will always be present I guess and I began to understand that war can only be proposed under circumstances of defense and to me, that's the only soul reason. So basically, after rambling on, I guess the question here is, Are you a Country Boy Hippy

(All rednecks void, I do truly hate rednecks and to those of you who don't know the difference between Country Boys and Rednecks.. go down south. Country Boys have morals and an understand of the land.. they don't just drink everything in sight ;) )

Also, when I said war to be okay in defense, I don't mean Iraq because that in my mind, isn't defense.. that's still the offensive side of things.

No.. I despise guns. Anyone who says "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." needs to take a class in common sense. I suppose guns just walk around freely and decide they don't like certain people so just go around and personify themselves by yelling "You're goan die." and shooting them out of their barrel. [/Sarcasm].

When was the last war that we actually"defended ourselves"?It's all political bullshit.Hitler attacked Europe not us,Japan was provoked cause they supplied fuel to the germans.Korea was a civil war,Nam was in defense of the french,Iraq was about them attacking Kuwait.Even the revolutionary war was about business.

exactly, to me, no war has been defendable. I guess I said that wrong. It's more or less I respect war because it's been in human blood. And I always said you must respect the monster within. And also, Raspberry, guns kill people of course they do. People kill people, poison kills people, there are other weapons that all kill people. That cleaning supplies you use to clean your kitchen, cleaning product to one, weapon to the other. To ban all of these items would make for one bland life. And until I can see mother nature do it's job and kill some people, it's up to humans to do the job.

I'm a country girl....does that count for anything? I don't usually call myself a hippy though. Just seems that my way of life and my thoughts on things often fall into that category.

My main grudge against guns is that there is no other purpose to them than killing. A gun can't be used for anything else. Even if used for "defense", it's threatening with death. We should destroy all guns, shoot them into space or something. Together with all bombs.

    2.American expansionism.We took over Cuba,Puerta Rico,and the Philipines

3.My history is weak on WWI,but we(actually England and it's allies) sure fucked Germany afterwards leading to WWII.

We obviously sent the boats out into ENEMY TERRITORY, and the Germans, according to German U-Boat accounts (the source the american textbooks don't like you to see) warning the Cargo/passenger ships to head back or face surrender. Also prior to those events (including lusitania) they sent out a call saying "No matter what, we shall sink any ship in our sea." If the president actually cared about the people, He wouldn't have even thought twice about sending the people in there.

Also, some major historians believe Pearl Harbor was intended for it was a perfect excuse to declare war. I read up breifly on the events leading up to the attack and it seems kind of.. Iffy, to say the least. Like that same day, there were unknown jets 52 miles away flying towards pearl harbor, yet the Navy Commander said it was their own jets and told the RADAR officer to ignore it. This among several other mistakes. And one reason we wanted to get into it? We can make alot of money off of europe.

So yes, war is for profit and is barbaric and cruel.

I suppose I fit the category, but it's not like I have a choice... I did shoot a squirrel when I was three, but I have no memory of it. I do miss our farm, as now we sold it and live downtown here. I HATE Eastern Virginia.

Virginia does have a lot of bullshit people but I've also met really cool people in VA. I don't mind western va in the mountains, usually depending on the town, have great country folk. Also, I think VA has some of the most beautiful mountains.
