lol. that's funny. If christ ever does return we all will most likely be long gone and or children's children's too.

 

I never understand why many people assume that when Christ returns it will once again be in the form of a single person (and a male one to boot). People take the Bible way too literally IMO.

From my POV, the second coming of Christ won't be in the form of one person or even several people, but millions. It fits the current world situation better (the gradual convergence of global consciousness) and also fits the constraint mentioned above, that a single person would not get the "proper attention" afforded the previous Christ incarnation (i.e. Jesus of Nazareth).

 

so there will be like jesus spawn everywhere and take over the world? millions of hairy men rampagin the streets?

or that the people themselves will take on the qualities of jesus

 

when the bible mentions the return of christ, I too always interpretted it as Christ Consciousness finally descending upon man in mulitude

isnt that was christianity is all about? entering "heaven" which is union with god?

 

Isn't union with god omnipotence? Also who's to say the return of this 'christ' being is in the form of human at all.

 

I think we will last until the year 3000s, but in a different substrate. We will abandon or natural bodies for more durable matrerial.

If the World ends in 2006 that's going to be a bummer because I haven't visited Los Angeles yet & I was planning to save up to visit it in 2006.

An era of horror? Not for me.. I dont care what comes and I will deal with whatever does happen, but horror yea right. even if there were people vanishing into thin air and dead people start walking around I would find some way to deal.
