I've had mine for years. a week or so ago I lost the top to my ring and had to take it out. I figured a few days wouldn't matter. After 3 I got a new one, but I had trouble getting it in! I had to break some skin to get it through and now it's kind of infected. I've been washing it out with antibacterial soap, but I don't think it's enough. Any suggestions? I was going to use peroxide and I was told that's a bad idea.

go the salt I say...when mine came out I passed out as they were re-piercing it and it didn't end up getting redone however the hole is still there under all the excess and it still occasionally makes an appearance...I think if I had of realised it would stick around I would have gone for the ring rather than the scarification but both are cool!!
