I need to speak to an impartial Cornish person.

Hello;
I'll be moving down to Camborne in September for 2 years (hopefully) whilst studying at the college there. I've tried to find impartial information on the internet but can only get business sites or the council chambers of commerce...no real flavour of what I'm letting myself in for!
Disturbingly Camborne has a place feature in chavtowns.co.uk/ and site I stumbled upon by accident when groping around for information...

So to put it in a nutshell....if anyone is from around these parts or a Cambornite themselves...can you give me your impressions of the town so as I can filter some kind of knowledge of expectation..

I wouldn't worry too much, most towns are on there... I guess because most towns have a "chav" contingent of some kind

Cambourne is the general butt of Cornish jokes... if you want a list of jokes about inbreeding, Cambourse is bound to appear in it an awful lot...


However, I don't know the reality of it coz I ain't never been there...

Camborne is not to far from any of the major cornish towns. I know someone who works in the music department of the college, and they think its ok.
