i just read about it and it sounds good (i know its a movie but it seems to fit better in this forum). it traces from 1965 to 1970. it is primarily about Syd, from what i understand, and his involvement with Floyd and through his "meteoric fall". i know a bunch of people on here are fans of Syd so i think it may be worth checkin out
I've yet to see it, or find a DVD of it that will play in the americal world zone, but I've heard other people say it's very good.
I have it on DVD and I certainly recommend buying it. If you're a Barrett expert, it'll be nothing knew but there is quite a bit of rare footage in it. It will be very interesting if you like Syd and Pink Floyd but don't know much about them. There are interviews with Pink Floyd, a few musicians that played with Syd, Graham Coxon, his ex-girlfriend and his landlord when he lived in "the black room". I'm a fan of Syd and I think the story is well told. Its quite balanced, they don't try to make his shit smell like flowers like some life stories do.
You can download it from www.sydbarrett.it Or, at least you used to be able to. I downloaded it there about a year ago, but I haven't been there for a long time, so I don't know if you can still download it.
Its not that great... I personally recommend reading a bio rather than watching the dvd because... its just a bunch of people, some who knew him, some who didnt talking about what they think he was on about.
