It seems that I used to have many, many out of body experiences, but now.. when I feel even more enlightened, and more aware of things around me, I seem to be having less. Or, they are harder to come about, why could this be happening? What are some of your out of body experiences?
Why less? Maybe because really, everything has to be integrated here in the body. These 'other planes' are all here too. Just a thought.
Factiod: Another person that astral projects can cause another person to see as if they are hovering out of their body though they are truely not. Think of a supernatural camera angle being received into the mind. It's tricky. They could have you thinking you're the one doing it when it's not even the case. Usually it's somebody close in living with.
we have many facets to our attention. you may be focusing too much of your attention on understanding, rather than action. you may have had a large amount of freed up energy (or attention) before, whereas now it is being diverted elsewhere. try to meditate on the things in your life that you are wasting precious attention on and either eliminate them or reorganize how you deal with them. another thing you might consider is whether astral projection is still neccessary in your development. if you are doing it for pleasure, it should also be eliminated out of your life so that you may direct your energy to something even more powerful
that makes a lot of sense, i was doing it for pleasure.. and it seems now i have moved on to more powerful sorts. "you may have had a large amount of freed up energy (or attention) before, whereas now it is being diverted elsewhere." i'm not so sure what you meant by that though. .
all i meant was that we all have a limited amount of energy to spend on things such as astral projection, and that most of us ration it out to several (or a thousand) seperate facets of our lives-rationalizing experiences and actions, arguments, communication in general, anxiety, obssession, etc.
I find that playing ice hockey and listening to certain types of music can take me to a higher plane of consciousness. I was driving in my car listening to some John Scofield a couple of hours after playing hockey last night and I felt like I had achieved nirvana.
