and do you have the boxset? it's purdy coooool. this one girl at my school....erlack... upon seeing my nirvana hoodie, asked me if it was a band. i was like, "umm..yeah..." she said "oh, i thought nirvana was some kinda shampoo or something" *shudder*
I still love them!!! That's a little frightening about someone thinking it was shampoo...I don't know, even word wise, you'd hope someone would first link the word Nirvana to buddhism before cleaning products? and at that, just know who the band is...
it's pretty great as boxsets go. and at the end of the dvd, it has them playing seasons in the sun. it's cool cuz they're all playing each other's instruments. and kurt singing it made a great song even better.
Alura, I know what you mean. People used to ask me all the time in high school who Nirvana was... at least the person who asked you didn't grow up when they first came out. And it is even more of a shame for those who are from Seattle. I have loved them since I first heard them, and I don't think I'll ever get tired of them. Same thing with Blind Melon, and just about everyone else from that era...Silverchair. Anyway, was anyone else disappointed when a few years ago they were announcing release of this "NEW SONG" by Nirvana? I heard it on the radio and thought, "what the fuck, I know this song..." and sure enough, I had 2 different recordings of it on my computer that had been downloaded years earlier.
lol she thought it was a shampoo? Do kids wear hoodies with shampoo logos on them?? That's funny I do still love Nirvana...amazing that I have been listening to them for over ten years now...makes me feel old
Nirvana was one of the great bands that will never be forgotten. (except by fucking retards that think its shampoo) And yes, I love Nirvana.
yeah I love them and that shampoo thing reminded of this. yesterday a girl I work with saw this picture and asked me who it was and I said john lennon. and she said who is john lennon. so I said he was in the beatles and then i had to run away beaucse I just couldnt belive it.
Im not a huge Nirvana fan, but I know what youre talking about. People will be like "OMG LED ZEPPELIN!!! I love that guy!"
yeah it's cool to know people still like them. a lot of people around here are like "only g-unit can understand how hard my life is" it's kinda gross.
I love Nirvana. Kurt Cobain was amazing! And about the Zeppelin thing, i wear my zep shirt to school a lot and i'll get people who say the same thing. and i'll be like "wtf, it's a band, not a dude." and they'll be like, "yeah, that's what i meant," *sigh* it makes me so mad when i get that kinda shit. peace & love.
i like nirvana, but as far as grunge goes i have to say i like Alice in chains better....BTW, along with stories of people being musically disinclined, ive gotten people who dont understand that Alice cooper is a guy.
I've outgrown Nirvana, but they will always have a place on my heart. Thier music has gotten me through some very hard times.
