My copy of Naked Lunch fell into the Potomac River the other day. Terrible, yet somehow fitting considering that the Potomac is 10% discarded hypodermic needles and styrofoam cups.

The potomac has a ton of shit... lol just the other night on Fox 5 news.. out of DC... they had a story on the mysterious blue barrels. They are now under investigation of where these mysteriously 60 gallon oil drums are coming from. Sad thing is, I hit 1 of them one day on a boat on the river. Right on 15 underneath the bridge going into MD. And the Chesapeake... wow. Though they are now have put in major efforts to clean it up, it's still fucked. The factories lining the river polluted the shit out of it in the 70's and 80's. Now they are sneaky about it, they throw their barrels opened into the river and let the water wash out all of the waste.. so they can't tell if there is any actual waste in these barrels.

Yeah, that's one reason why I won't dare swim or fish in the chesapeake bay or its estuaries.
