what are the best games?

I'm asking everyone what they think the best games are?

 

I only play one current game. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. It's the best free game without a doubt in my opinion. The only other games I play are old dos games such as Scorched Earth, Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, and various roms.

 

Ahh theres a plenty. Heres the best in the past couple of months.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2
Republic Commando
Dawn of War
Rome Total War
Brothers in Arms
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

Those are the best ones out. Every game is totally bodacious.

 

ADOM (ancient domains of mystery) it's a roguelike, very similar to nethack, it has no graphics but it's got great game play

World of warcraft, well it was before lag squads became highly encouraged.

I refuse to play an mmo, maybe it's just me, I will never play a game I have to pay a subscription to play

 

Civilization 3 *drools*

I have a very sad addiction to the Sims 2 right now.

NWN and Sacred are both pretty darn good too.

 

Raid on Bungling Bay, Taipan, Karateka, Stellar 7, Swashbucker, B-17 Bomber (with intellivoice!)...

Worms World Party: really fun to play with friends when you're stoned
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and Disciples 2: for long nights
Age of Mythology: although it gets boring after playing too much on your own.
Pro Evolution Soccer 3 (or 4): the best computer soccer game.

 

oh yeah Call of Duty

 

That game is very great. Its so intense, its like you have to take breather after playing. But I suggest Brothers In Arms its great game and a better alternative to COD. Good luck mate.

Check out Guild Wars, one of the best MMORPG out there and there's no monthly fee.

 

Civ3 has got to be the most addictive game I've ever played.

2 words... GUILD WARS.
WoW sucks compared to the all mighty GW.
I bought WoW and liked it for about a week, until I figured out all i was doing was running from 1 place to another over and over and over and over and over and over..

Great games
Starcraft, Fallout 1 & 2 (cant wait for FO3), WC3, D2, Guild Wars, Civilization series, new game out called PIRATES!... so many more... lately my gaming time compromises of GW, Fallout 2 and nfl 2k5.
