As defined in Carlos Castaneda's books on Don Juan's teachings, does anybody think that all the aspects of sorcery in his books are possible? Any other thoughts?
I really couldn't say with the same eloquence and specific nature but i'll try: Don Juan, a Yaqui Sorcerer states that all perception is based on an 'Assemblage-point' on average people located about one to three feet behind the back. I really have to re-read it but it is very interesting. Sorry I can't synthesize it for you, if I did I would be lying and distortioning(sp?) the truth. Read the books! hehe
I've read them, and at the very least, are an excellent read, whether or not you believe in it. Many new-age-esque authors write about very similar things, just worded differently. There's a strong resonence of truth in the writing, but one can take any interpretation from it.
I've never read any of his books myself but I remember hearing that he was exposed as a fraud and he made up all the experiences he wrote about in his books.
I dunno, but the simson's episode where homer talks to the dog after eating chili with Insanity peppers in it reminded me of the series. I pissed on a friend once, but I never peed on a dog that peed on me.
