God's Debris is a fantastic book with the subtitle "A Thought Experiment" - it is by Scott Adams (yes, the same guy who does the Dilbert cartoons). Really a mind-blower. If you haven't read it, I genuinely suggest that you get right on it. It makes arguments for the existance of God (although not in the way you would expect), science, free-will, ESP, aliens, the free will of a penny, how men get along with women and vice-versa, and how all of this is connected to probablility. Not that the author claims to believe everything he writes, but it certainly does make for soem interesting reading. You never think about the universe and the existance of higher powers in the same way after you've read God's Debris. It is one of those rare books that really makes you think and includes you in all the author's thought processes (although not everyone of his arguments makes sense the first time reading it). You come away from the book feeling as enlightened as the character in the book. And for all of you who can't stand textbook style philosophy, God's Debris is philosophy nestled in an actual storyline with characters, etc.
