...but I'm gonna tell you anyway I just went for a quick bathroom break, and as I was going back to my room my dad called from the hall downstairs. So I go "Yeah?" and begin to go downstairs to see what he wanted...only to realise that, on his arm, was one of these It turned out that someone found it perched in a tree not too far from our house. Knowing that my dad has experience with birds of prey, he called him to find out what to do. My dad had to climb the tree to get the buzzard, then brought it back to our house so he could examine it. The owner's phone number was on one of the jesses, and my dad's outside right now talking to the fellow's friend who'll be taking the bird to stay in a proper aviary for the night before she returns to Halifax. The bird has apparently been missing for an entire week, and had barely eaten anything in that time. My dad fed her a little, calmed her down, and even allowed her to take a crap on the hall carpet My dad is pretty cool with animals ProudSon_13
Very cool story I had mixed results in my own attempts to save a couple of birds a few days ago...Many sparrows nest in bushes around my house, they all feel very comfortable coming into our garden for food despite our three dogs. One unfortunate bird flew too close to our most vicious dog, Rory, who managed to get a decent swipe at the bird before it fluttered itself into the house and behind the fridge. By the time I got shit moved it had died, shock alone by the look of it. It was given a nice burial. Couldn't of been an hour later I noticed another bird trying to force itself threw a dividing fence in the garden. Poorly wing was our verdict. We managed to get this one into a box and down to an emergency vet. The vet was kind enough to let us know it would make a full recovery in time ...not much else to tell! But since the subject was there like.
