lol jointman you crack me up, I just saw that other one of the fish you posted. Can you give me a good one? I win!
You guys don't have to be assholes just because I don't smoke and just was curious about something that was related to dope.
whos being an asshole in here? not me! www.hightimes.com ive already emailed them with your question.
My bad bro. I thought you guys were being sarcastic. The reason why I ask the question is because this psycho bitch who's my neighbor says that her dad co founded it. Of course I don't believe her, but I just want to prove her wrong so I can laugh in her face. She's a wanna be high class girl. She makes fun of poor people, but she's on welfare.
LOL oh man thats funny. i was making fun of the kid who was actin hard..then jake asked me for a winner pic. but yeah i should get a response from the mag relatively soon so ill be sure and let you know.
heres your answer without me having to resort to a childish little dick about things like everyone else..... Thomas King Forcade
heres a little extra info for you too...... Thomas King Forcade AKA Kenneth Gary Goodson Born: 1945 Birthplace: Phoenix, AZ Died: Nov-1978 Cause of death: Suicide Gender: Male Ethnicity: White Sexual orientation: Straight Occupation: Journalist Level of fame: Niche Executive summary: Founder of High Times Military service: U.S. Air Force (1960's) In 1970, during Congressional testimony in front of a pornography commission, he threw a pie in the face of a commissioner, shouting "The only obscenity is censorship!" Later indicted over alleged conspiracy to firebomb the Republican convention, though charges were dropped in 1974. Founded High Times with $12K, to instant success. Forcade committed suicide in 1978 with a pearl-handled .22 revolver, after which control of High Times was transferred to a trust.
well, thanks jokerman, heres the response i got from HT as an add on High Times was founded by Thomas King Forçade in 1974. Tom was a political activist, marijuana smuggler and bookstore owner before he started High Times. Tom passed away in 1978.
Tom Forcade was the ONLY founder of High Times magazine... there never was a co-founder, but a bunch of people including Ed Rosenthal believe that they are 'part owners' of the magazine since they were involved from the beginning, or nearly so. In fact, High Times is still owned by Forcade's family, and it is run by a trust foundation of lawyers. This is what I have learned by asking a number of people who are actually involved with the magazine, such as Jorge Cervantes, Kyle Kushman and Steve Bloom. ~Payaso
