I was pretty sure that yall had it figured out. I did my research and experienced some very interesting dialouges with various rainbows. I never really had a bad experience with any of you. Ofcourse, my interest faded and I resumed my normal babylonian existance. It seemed like I was teasing myself. How was I going to be a part of that. It would be such a risk and on very little knowledge. I did the drug thing for a decade and it left me, well with not an excess of memory, to say the least. But I'm sane and miss parts of that life. I miss the happy people and the fascination with God's infinite creations. So I guess I would be scared to go to something like a gathering. I would almost rather have the image of what I need it to be rather then find out it was just like anything else.

Then I saw a full rainbow for the first time in my life yesterday. I was staring at the setting sun breaking through at the end of a 3 day storm. Very symbolic of the cycle of my life. I saw the sun lluminating off of a telephone pole and realized that God was showing me something. The sun is God. His goodness is the light. That telephone pole was shining not because it was producing it's own light, but because the sun's light was bouncing off of it. Then it all made sense. If we put ourselves in the light, then we'll shine. 'So where's the light?' I thought. I had no answer. I became discouraged and turned to go back in the house. Then there it was. The biggest, brightest rainbow you could imagine. I don't believe in chance.

not what it once was, but is great

bring your own burn barrel and plenty of wood -- and any instrument you play -- strange but it is getting more diffucult to find fires and live music in these later rave oriented years of burningman... and it is still a great time...

Rainbow Gatherings can be beautiful but it's best to hook up with Family near your homebase before you go. We're a little unsure about Burning Man, never been there. Kerrville is a good festival to get to know some Rainbow folks, and most regions have events that seem to be Rainbow Family draws. Have you checked www.welcomehome.org or www.welcomehere.org ?

Yes brother, beautifully true that you experienced the light

--truly awesome... I haven't been to a 'proper' gathering, yet I have met many family, realized the truth on my own, and felt the spirit pull me in certain directions... I will be attending at least three, or more, gatherings this summer in addition to the other travel activities I have planned, I would just say to go for it... find a regional near you, or come out to the nationals...im sure nat'l's is totally different, and larger than most gatherings but still it'll give you a feel of the possibilities without the possibility of feeling uncomfortable or scared....
regardless, love love and spread that everywhere your smile can shine,
    Adam
