I've been suffering from Anaemia for the past year and it's slowly been getting worse. My diet is the best it's ever been so it's been a bit confusing. I've been told by my regular doctor and an integral healer that my body isn't absorbing the vitamins & minerals from my food. The IH believes I have a virus (or several) in the colon which is undermining my whole system so not only am I feeling shit from being aneamic but my immune system is overwhelmed. He's given me some colloidal silver followed by some specific supplements, but I'm just curious; has anyone else experienced anything similar? What conclusions did you come to and have you healed? I'm fed up with whining to people about being tired all the time :( Any feedback greatly appreciated! :)

I don't know much about this, but the only reason I can think of for a person to not absorb vitamins and minerals would be because they have an intestinal worm.
I'm sure I'm of no help, but I wish you luck.

Yeah, I assumed since you've been to doctors you are clear of that. Sometimes though people take weightloss supplements that contains parts of intestinal worms (that aren't labled on the body). The worms chill in there and take all the nutrients, thus resulting in lost weight... but of course it is far from healthy.

Good to hear that isn't what it is.

Maybe find out what minerals you are most deficiant in ( I am b12 deficiant) and you can get tested for virus's which cause your body not to absorb those minerals or vit's specifically.
Ive been meaning to do this for months.

I'm deficient in pretty much everything at the moment - iron, zinc, most of the B vitamins, mangenese, copper etc etc......but that does sound like a good idea, I will ask my doctor! Makes me wonder why they never suggested it  thanks mistymop!
