i'm looking to grow out my hair, but it's not very manageable or soft. I used to have soft, curly hair during my earlier years but now it's just curly and tangled. What can i do to make sure it's not disgusting when it grows? ie. How often should i wash it? use conditioner? what hair products should I use? it's pretty damaged and dry.

    love,

I am the same heres what I do.

Wash my hair once a week with a conditioning shampoo.
Condition it every day with a very rich in moisture conditioner!!
Only ever comb when wet NEVER brush!!
Allow it to dry natraully as often as possible.
Two or 3 times a week when your hair is completly dry (I do this just before I go to bed) I give my hair a good brushing with a ntraully bristled brush, this helps your scalps natraul oils trvael down the hair shaft.
During the day I put a cheap conditioner through my hair just before I style it. This works better than any de-frizzing products. :)

I think Redkin products are amazing for hair. A bit expensive but it works better at making hair soft and nice than any other thing I have ever used....and I have used just about everything from the Sally's store.
You can find them at most hair salons. They have a shampoo/conditioner for all hair types but the one I use is called 'soft'....its awesome:)
