I have an auntie and 3 younger cousins staying over this weekend. I never stay at home on the weekends because my boyfriend is not allowed to stay here, but his parents have no problem with me staying there... Anyways, I have no problem with my girl cousin who is 14yrs old sleep in my bed while I'm gone. It's a girl's room and I trust her not too snoop. But she stayed at a friend's last night and her older brother who is 16yrs old slept in my bed. Now I love my cousin, but I do not want some stinky 6'3'' 16yr old sleeping in my bed while I'm not around. And I KNOW he snoops. Now, I'm not gonna be home tonight again and I don't want to be a bad person and say that he specifically can't sleep in my room, but I just don't feel comfortable with it. How do I approach the subject? I think either way someone will get offended so I just gotta suck it up. Blah.
If it's your parents' house I really don't think you're going to have any say. Just remove the "snoopables".
And it's not my parents house, I live with my other aunt and uncle because I'm going to school here in the city. The thing is my room is pretty much my only private space here. It's my home.
Yeah I wouldnt want a guy sleeping in my bed either (unless he was a cute one and I was with him ). Maybe your mom will understand if you tell her and tell her why.
remove the snoopables or tape drawers you don't want him going into. what the hell would he find anyways? Underwear and condoms? Your diary? If you won't be home hten, take your diary with you. Condoms, hide under all the girly underwear that, unless 'keepin it in the family' appeals to him he won't be digging through to hte bottom of there.
