hate for cops

i fucking hate cops. all the cops around here do is harrass kids for smoking and drinking. last night i was really stoned (see the thread a half ounce for 60 bucks), and a friend and i snuck around town so we wouldn't see the cops too much. they had already seen us like 4 times. they don't like me either. we were stoned and had shit on us.

i was just thinking how i hate cops and how most stoners do. cops are suppossed to be there to protect and serve us, but stoners have to be afraid of them. it makes us have a bad relationship with the police and they treat us like criminals. i know we break laws, but i certainly don't think we are criminals. think of is more like "civil disobediance" like gandi did.

Yeah i agree cops are assholes. Some of them can be ok but most of them are just dicks. our community policeman knows one of my mates quite well because he used to get into alot of trouble and he stopped him one day and said "calm it down in the house take it out side, your mums gonna end up losin the house" and i said to my mate yeah take it outside so he can catch you and bust you lol.

dude where i live..the cops are pricks i was out walking one nite just to walk, i was completely sober and had nothign on me but a cell phone and the fuking cop is like r u stoned are u this blah blah blah and hand cuffed me so i wouldnt run...wtf why would i run i didnt have anythign on me

 

Most cops are assholes around here too.. but I usually just avoid them..I guess I look kind of straight-edge (well more than a lot of other people), and I do the regular 5 over the speed limit.. damn yesterday we were smoking in my car on the way to the mall! And we saw a cop (going the other way) but it was still scary. We had the bud packed in an empty cigarette with a homemade filter (instead of the cigarette filter) so it looked just like a cigarette .. and we all had cigarettes lit so we could just pretend the smoke was from those. Nobody, not even the people beside us, noticed (at least I don't think so). Anyways, yeah cops can be dicks around here too..

In Canada, it was completely different. I knew that the cops didn't really care if I smoked weed or not (as long as I wasn't on the street or anything stupid like that) so I didn't disrespect them or anything, and I even talked to one (my dad got pulled over going 93 kph in a 60 kph zone ~ he didn't know the speed limit had changed) and the cop saw that we were tourists, and she let us go.. I thought that was pretty cool of them.

 

The cops where I live now tend to be pricks... that seems to be a constant for most small city and smalltown police forces, since they often don't have anything better to do than harrass stoners and drunk kids. When I was in a big city during the college year, the cops tend to be more relaxed, since they have alot more substantial things to do. I was drunk at a few parties they raided, and they just let you go unless you're unable to walk or something.

I remember reading this news story a while back that said this guy lost a lawsuit against a police department, he had sued them because they turned down his job application. The reason? The dude scored too high on the intelligence aptitude test they gave. Explains alot, don't it?

 

One day (this is before I had even discovered weed, not that that really has anything to do with it) a couple of friends and I were hanging out under a highway overpass thingy. It was neat under there. We brought some snacks and stuff, and just hung out. There were lots of little pebbles that we'd roll down the slanted ground, and they'd hit the wall just before the road. Well, after about half an hour, a big fat pig pulls up and corners us in this little crevice thing.

"What're you boys doin' here?"

One of my friends said "oh crap" or something like that, and the pig was like "Yeah oh crap". He made us come down to the car, and told us that somebody had reported kids throwing rocks at cars. WE told him we weren't, because well, we werne't. He told us not to give him that bullshit or he'd take us to wood (the local juvie lockup). So we told him we were rolling rocks down the side and that we supposed that could have looked like we were throwing rocks. He then called all of our parents to pick us up, and when they arrived he told them that one of us had tried to run, which was a flat-out lie. By the time my mom got me home, and had heard my story, she was not nearly as pissed. She said from what the person on the phone told her, she imagined us throwing huge rocks directly at cars below the overpass.

And so to this day, I hate those motherfucking pigs.

Also, I do dislike cops. They lie about how they busted you; the fucking pig that busted me for possession watched me for 10 minutes before I actually pulled out my bud. Then he waited for me to load a bowl and then came up behind me, what a bastard.

One of the only times a cop has seen me stoned was at the cannabis festival and everyone was stoned. We were just lighting up infront of them. Yeah but anyway cops suck but in fairness we are breaking the law and it's up to them to arrest us or not...

 

well here's a pretty controversial view lol...the police are just doing their job. i live in australia and things are different here (in ACT they don't carry guns anymore!), but i strongly believe the police won't mess with people unless we're doing something against the law. and if we smoke weed around them, it's against the law.

still, cops around here (i live in a pretty rough neighbourhood) seem to spend more time busting up real criminals and not young people like us.

 

not all cops are assholes. but for most of them its in their nature. they wanted to grow up to be somethign where they had control or authority.
they want to make a name for themselves by busting drug dealers and shit.
they want to be a fuckin hero

 

Here in England we have 'Community Support' and they can't actually arrest you , if they could i'd probably always get arrested.

I think I would not be so scared of the police if they did not carry around guns. Other than that I just don't like the police, they have pissed me off one to many times and usually they don't even have a reason.

Never go to a bar called Tequila Willies, I had a friend that worked there and told me the local pd starting at about 9 or 10pm would put chaulk on the tires of the patrons, using a different color for every hour, thus pulling over cars as they left the lot..He has seen the chaulk marks, i have not. In that part of town its not very violent or lots of drunks, its just that walker pd has nothing better to do
bastards.

 

Basically they are sort of like police, same uniform etc, but they need less training and therefore have less powers. They cannot arrest you for marijuana, only carry out a citizens arrest and in most cases they just tell you to move on if there's two of them and abobut 10 stoners. They can arrest you for example if you commit murder or something infront of them.
