the most entertaining series, even more so than red sox and yankees! and yeah you bosox fans should even admit to that. if you dont believe me, go to a game in wrigley field or in busch stadium, and you will notice the tense atmosphere.

    I miss harry :( seriously!!

he was the only reason why I would turn it to wgn and watch the cubs games. the guy was so entertaining..... the way he laughed, the way he was so honest. if the cubs were doing shitty, he would pretty much just let it all out on the air about how disappointed he was in the team. he was like a drunk fan in a bar. he never bit his tongue, he was truely a unique individual and so fun to make fun of.

as you know, harry got his start with the cardinals in the 40s, but he was ousted from the cards in '69 when supposedly he slept with auggie busch's wife.

Have you ever been in Fenway or the Bronx for sox/yankees game? I'm sure the intensity is probably equally the same as a Cubs / Cardinals game. Honesly, all four teams have rabid fan bases, so making the distinction that a Cubs / Cardinals series is more intense than a Red Sox / Yankees series really isn't possible in my mind. Just from a demographic stand point, I would think that the intensity would be greater up here in the north east as the people in the NE tend to be the most intense out of anywhere I've lived or visited in the US. That being said, these are the two best rivalries in baseball for sure.

well, until i can get myself to a cubs/cards game, i can't accurately judge the intensity of the series. i've been to a bosox/yankee game at fenway and that atmosphere is highly intense. i do plan on getting to the bronx for a game out there between the bosox and yankees. maybe someday i'll get to see a cubs/cards game...but until then i can't go on someone elses word that its more intense out there.

I expect the Cubs to take the series, only because the pitching staff has woke up. Maddux is starting to get a bit rusty, but has enough left to give us 6 strong innings.

Pujols isn't really alive yet, but watch out division foes when he does!

hopefully pujols will keep up what he did in previous seasons and finally get an mvp, since bonds is out.
