That thing is funny as hell, almost pure propaganda... I love it so much. It's on Showtime On Demand. I love the beginning warning about weed, I was reading the part where it says "It slows down time, almost makes it stand still" or something like that and my friend (high off his ass) goes "Dude..... this is taking so long to start." Good day.

The ending wasn't as good as I thought it could be.

I saw this about 10 years ago at some indie cinema. It was quite a laugh... crazy stuff.

beware, the new version is a MUSICAL based on the original movie! I saw one short clip, and heard a verse of a song, and was reminded of a bad Little Shoppe of Horrors rip off.

This has been a classic since the 70s, and must have been really fun to make, even in the 1930s. But I havent a clue what the actors in Reefer Madness did afterwards! Still a funny flick to watch, and should get the award for worst movie performance in a political lie.

But it isnt as strange as Terror In Tinytown!

The original Reefer Madness is completely insane. I love it.

I've got the DVDs of the original B&W version and also the Colorized "Special Addiction" version from last year.
I must have watched it 100 times over the years and it still cracks me up.

If youve never seen it be patient for about the first 10 minutes. It takes a while to get going , but when it does it's crazy.
The whole movie has this strange surreal quality to it.

The guy who played Ralph Wiley was in a lot of B movies in the 30s, 40, and 50s and directed a bit too.

The girl who played "Mary" had a career in B's in the 30s & 40's as well.

The guy who played Bill Harper didnt make another movie after Reefer Madness.. not surprising when you think how bad an actor he was...

My favourite character was Mae... Thelma White played her and she lived to the ripe old age of 94 before passing away in January this year..

it was pretty funny. The maniacal laughter, the tragedy - i never realised pot was so horrific. Luckily there are films like this to show the way to the young and misguided :)

If you see it, make sure it's the old one.

The new one "tries to hard"

I was reading this thread and decided to help out anyone who not yet seen this movie by uploading it to my web server. I broke up the original movie into 5x40 MB parts to help 56kers download.

The files are in avi format and you may need the newest Divx drivers.

You will need a username and password to download the files.

    Enjoy :)

The current username and password will expire in 12 hours. If you want access after that please PM me and I'll hook you up.

I just downloaded and tested all the vids myself and they work 100% fine.

Its the whole movie split into 5 parts.

You must need the newest version of the divx codecs.

*another thing, use save target as... and save them to your hard drive.
