I don't doubt that many men who do contest the court decision get awarded some custody, but there are still men out there who want to see their kids but can't. Hopefully the mother wold agree on a custody arrangement before they went to court...unless my husband hit me, I woud try and get as close to a half and half custody type deal as I could. If he hit me I would be scared for my child and so that would be different, but otherwise it's not at all fair to the child to fight over that...they need to be with daddy too.
