haha, I'd form a fusion band with spacey undertones. I'd have two saxes (soprano & tenor), a lead guitar, bass guitar, organ, synth, drums, bongos with some flute/piano sprinkled in...haha, it'd be crazy! It'd be an instrumental band too.
i thought you meant like who would be in the band and such lets see i'de have to be in it, becuase like, its mah band. me - guitar #1, backup vox johnny whitney from the blood brothers - screaming/weird vocals cody from blood brothers/waxwing - guitar #2 Drummer from As I Lay Dying - Drums, headbanging bassist from King Crimson - Bass, Chapman stick vocalist from Thursday - Singing Vocals keyboardist from Leftover Crack - Keyboard Louis Armstrong - Trumpet my friend alex - circuit bent electronic instruments/ theramin woah that would be awesome
I looked for and found the best damned bluegrass jazz guitarist in the georgia region, a mandolin player that has taken grismans torch, a banjo player with better intonation than Bela and more creative I may add, and a saweeeet uprght bass fiddle player.
I'd form a psychedelic rock/folk/jam band. These are the instruments i would have. besides me on guitar and vocals: -1 Bass -1 Organ/1 Piano -1 Flute -2 Trumpets -1 Drum set -1 Violen -2 Cello -2 Female Vocalist ya...that would be good
I'd look for versatile, well-trained ones who could read music, communicate well (both musically and personally) and play multiple instruments. A good ear for improvisation and a strong sense of musical space would also be nice... No egomaniacs, druggies/wastoids, mercenaries or glory-hounds, please.
I've always wanted to have a band and to play drums. I've tried teaching myself and keeping a beat comes natural to me, but my memory is CRAP and I can't remember anything for even 2 seconds! But I'd need a very good, powerful singer, 2 guitarists, bassist, and a keyboardist who can run the computers and electronics. Though I'm uncomfortable with that part becuase I know nothing about keyboards, computers, software or other electronics that are needed for my kind of music. I can hear my music in my head, sometimes. It's like Rammstein on lots of acid. Emergence & Funker Vogt are musically other influences of mine but I want it harder and sicker than that. It would be wicked. And my lyrics are awesome. Maybe I need to learn a way to not think so much, because I overthink and can't remember stuff. I don't have too many self-concious-free moments but when I do I know that there *is* a good drummer inside of all the crap swirling around in my head.
some well versed musicians who are familar with every thing from punk to folk and can see the value in each
2 guitarists 1 blues guitarist 2 drummers 2 bassists 1 keyboardist 1 harmonica player 4 percussionists 1 sitarist there are more i just cant think of them right now
haIf I could form a band with any musicians... Me, Buddy Guy, and Eric Johnson - Guitar Tommy Shannon or Billy Sheehan - Bass Steve Gadd or Ginger Baker - Drums Booker T. Jones and Billy Preston - Hammond B3/Keys John Popper - Harmonica
I'd look for a drummer who wasn't just some dumbass with two sticks, someone who could convey a song via the drums (if I hear another drumline that is just high hat and snare I will kill someone) I'd want a strings player, someone who can play everything from violin to stand bass to speed metal guitar, I'd want someone who could play keyboard instruments (marimba would be the most common) Blues guitar, Bass guitar and crunching metal, also a harmonica and flute
