This may be the wrong forum, but, does anyone know where I can apprentice to be a midwife? I have considered going to school, but I would rather learn in a more hands on way. I would love to apprentice on The Farm in TN, but I don't know if they do that. So, If anyone has any info on a any midwife apprentice programs...please let me know. I would really appreciate it. It seems like they would do midwife apprenticeships on the Farm...they have an extensive website (I don't have the addy, but you can prob. find it on Google), so you may want to check there... Mothering magazine may be a good resource also...I haven't read that magazine in years, but it used to have a lot of articles on alternative ways of parenting, doing childbirth, etc. Good luck!
