another proud mamal. I can see some trimming in swimsuit season (fuzzy all over me uses boyshorts for a bathing suit bottom) or if you were going for boudoir photography, or made your living dancing. and I guess I could see some grins and giggles in making shapes, but all gone? ick. stubble would REALLLLLLLLLLLLY suck there. Had to do it once after a lice infestation in a new apartment (get those room carpets cleaned, kiddies) now, why is it a fasion in some circles? the "feel" of money is heavy-duty personal care. A woman who can afford to wax everything has sunk a chunk of change into her appearance. some have a textural thing going on, and I know in India, married women often wax it all so appeal to their husbands (again a class/money thing) I ascribe to the Alex Comfort theory: hair holds scent-- and scent is, as Tom Robbins writes in Another Roadside Attraction, 80 percent of love. personally, I would never do it for any reason. I fought, and won, against shaving at childbirth...why should the babe pass through a series of potentially infected scrapes as opposed to natural hair?
Well, you can't actually shave your "vagina"..but I won't get into that. I started shaving when I was about 19 because I'd heard it made sex more pleasurable, and in some ways it does, especially when your partner shaves as well. It also can make you feel cleaner when you're menstruating. But I don't think it's necessary, no. The "brazilian" type of hair removal is very recent, and now I see 12 and 13 year old girls asking if they should shave to please their boyfriends. Men have been going down on women for centuries-it's only recently that some of them have been demanding completely shaven partners. Bottom line: do what makes you comfortable, and if your partner prefers that you shave when you don't want to, either find someone else or ask them to shave in return!
I agree with everything Peace Attack and drumminmama have said. If a womyn wants to do it for herself, that is her business, but a dude expecting it is sick. Pedophilic, IMO. Is sex too much work for you? Gotta make it easier somehow? C'mon. "OMG. I have to MOVE all that hair, this is too much damn work, I'm going celibate!" The good parts don't actually have hair on them. What's good sex without a little crinkly hair to spit out at the end? It just would't be the same. LOL. I grew that hair when I became a womyn, I ain't takin it off. If my old man didn't like it, he'd have his left hand for "company" alone. JMO. (But my man LIKES realistic looking, grown up womyn, so I have nothing to worry about.) I personally think those "landing strips" ala Playboy magazine look silly. I always think "Didn't she FINISH puberty yet?" JMO again. I think one of the few things that would move me to violence would be to have someone come at me with a Brazilian Wax. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!
i agree with drumminmama and peace attack and maggie and michael (whose picture of tori amos i really dig). maybe it's more common among boys than men? because boys see women in porn and on the pages of playboy and these women are completely shaven, some with the whole, "landing strip," thing going on, and so the boys expect women to look like that because they form this opinion before actually encountering a real woman (in the flesh as opposed to on a page)? now i'm not trying to lump everyone who prefers to go hairless, or have a hairless partner in this category, just that it might explain why it is more common among boys. i mean, maybe a guy who wants a totally hairless girl also wants big fake boobs and an expressionless face pumped full of botox? i'm not bald down there. i would not go bald for a guy. i did once, and resented myself for it. i felt like a child being molested. if a man can't deal with a real pussy, that's his problem.
I proudly shave down there and wouldn't have it any other way. I don't take it completely off but once in a blue moon, but I keep it very shortly trimmed and some parts shaved clean because I find it to be more attractive that way. I just like it better. My husband doesn't mind what I do to it. I do what I do for me.
My husband and I both shaved once (well, I had to be shaved for a surgery I had, and my hubby did it so I didnt feel like the only child in the room during sex), but we both hated it. Too much friction during sex. Our pubic bones got all red and sore every time. So we both got over the shaven kick pretty fast. Now I am back to nice and natural except for the occasional trim around swimsuit season.
Im more of a trimmer when i do shave i dont get rid of all of it i like stencils and stuff i think its actually sexy.
i shaved once and HATED IT!!!! its disgusting i shave my legs and arms because im very flirty and love to have a tan smooth look. but i cant shave my personal area.its NASTY!
DUDE! I have not said dude for like, forever, but for now, I think it is appropriate. I freak me OUT when I see one shaved! AH! Fake! Plastic! Not REAL! AHHH! I honestly don't shave anything, I feel that cutting hair on your body is like well, I will put it like this so maybe my sentiment will get across. Take a razor, now slit your wrist. Take that same razor and, shave your legs. Now. What's the difference? You are still cutting a part of your body. EVERYTHING is sacred, hair and all. I LOVE my body and I honor and cherish it. Blessings Francine Aloha Nui Loa PS I have also shaved my head but that was for completely different reasons and had a HUGE spiritual purpose for me! So...there! For anyone on here who saw me post my bald picture.....
I don't really expect wemon to shave themselves. I wouldn't shave. The purpose of shaving is so that when a guy eats a girl out he wont get hairs in his mouth. It is nice, but I wouldn't expect my partner to do that for me, because I am not going to do it for her. If you don't like the natural way of lubracating your sig. others pleasure organ you can buy lubricants at the store. Edit: Some men may find wemon more sexually attractive for some reason if they shave but all guys are different on what they like.
I completely shave all the time. I do it for me. I don't like any body hair. I even try to shave my ass crack fuzzies when I am flexible enough. I have never done it for a guy. I do it for me. I started way before I even started having sex! I just have this thing about hair! I don't like the feel of it on my body. I shave my arms, legs, armpits, I even have to take a razor to my hands if i feel light fuzz on my fingers!! I know it's kind of unnatural, but it's my own personal preference.
You must be pretty limber, girl. I can barely bend down enough to get my toes, when the arthritis kicks in.
I stretch sometimes. Every once and a while I can strach pretty far and bend down so far I can see my ass. Aren't I cute? I DO know it's weird, but I just like to shave hair. I have trich, also. I pull out my eyelashes and eyebrow hair. I think that has something to do with it.
Most of the time I just shave it all off. Not because my man wants me to, but because I feel more comfortable that way. I guess I am just one of the lucky ones who doesn't get in-grown hairs or ichty. However I do like to shave in some designs sometimes......just to spice it up a little!
I like hair on women and men. shaving is yucky as I see it and itches. I don't wanna clean shaven gal or guy. I'd feel like I was going down on some kid-and working in a prison with 40% pedos, no way man. Gimme that hair! I love to stroke my fingers through it, gods I love the same! that is such a turn on! Frankly if someone thinks that sex is work isn't, IMO, having sex but doing some job they can't stand. this kinda person I wouldn't give the time of day-they wouldn't have fun with me. Quit having work sex and just MAKE LOVE, man.
