Bitter stare gone through the dazed glass his car,
Drunken breath fastened to her lips
A long way home felt like a misplaced kiss
Resting on the liquored taste of the one

    Who supposedly brought her bliss
On a quest through the shut down city
Sunday morning chasing the liquor out of her body
Begging for a quilt her psyche was unable to hold
Along the lines the paper had failed to mold.
Sitting on a parking floor, awaiting a ride that would never show
    As her temper befell tender,
Furiously rhyming out of drunken hurting
She ran away from him… vomiting stomach lining
Fending the affection she found… in the warmth of her bitter coffee
    The night slowly faded away
When her loved ones, turned gray
Thus like every night, she dragged herself
In a fetal position cornered through her sheets
Murmuring to herself… that it’ll all be ok
Ever since tomorrow will be another day…
