Whats up guys, Im from Texas and am searching for others with open minds. Im definatly not a fan of Bush and do not support the way we conducted our invasion. Beyond that Ive never tripped, but look forward to it. Im eager to meet some of the other members here. Ive been reading posts already and it sounds like there are some bright people here that I could benefit from. Im always open to new ideas or corrections and never think Im always right.
Austin myself. I find this city to be a little bit to small and dull. Im currently trying to keep myself busy by trying new lines of work. Now im building quality guitar bass's, not up rights. But still I search for that something that seems to evade me every day.
Well ....Fort Worth is not anymore exciting and a lil less dread and hippy than Austin ... so ...as far as dull ... depends on what your into .. I really like the areas outside of Austin .. like Spicewood Springs ..etc .. they are cool to getting with the earths vibe .. but .. if your a city person .. parties etc .. I can see why you might like it .. although I am suprised since that is technically a college city .. Building guitars .. whoa .. who did you learn from .. ?...I just gave my guitar away .. to an ex .. he uses or will use it more than I ever did .. now I am stuck with the campfire guitar ( lol ) so I will opt for the drumm... Nice to meet you!
Starting to think we need a Texas forum in here! Tendo, are ya going to Eeyore's? Welcome to the hippiehood!
No sh1T! we do need a texas forum.. maybe paisleydays will get one going (when I get finnished with the bloody site
Hey there, I'm new to the forum too. When I think of Texas I always think of Willie Nelson, who's my hero, rather than George Bush. And Townes Van Zandt!!! I love all those cowboy hippie poets.Mind you, didn't old George say he smoked a bit of the holy weed in his rough and rowdy days?
Yes I do plan on going to Eeyore's Bday. It was great last year, met some cool people. reincarnatmenowK, I used to live in Spicewood texas, not spicewood springs. I loved it out there, hardly anyone around and plenty of stars to light my way. It was often so quiet you couldnt help but feel good. I could watch thunderstorms building for miles away and see them just pass next to me. My sister used to play the guitar, so I just picked up bass from her and now I have a really good friend who is a really good bass player and he helps me out too.
