Here it is! This is my first attempt at sewing. It's a single panel baby quilt. I did it all on the sewing machine and the did the binding around it. The binding turned out terrible, but I'm pretty pleased with the rest of it. It didn't come out as well as I'd hoped, but better than I expected. It's not good enough to be given away as a gift, but it is probably okay for our first baby (when we have it -- btw, I'm NOT pregnant right now ). I'll probably end up taking the binding off at a later date. Bright Blessings! Aphrodite Pretty
Thanks a lot guys! I went on a sewing frenzy today, and also put together my first apron shirt! Not sure if I'll keep up with 'em -- I'm a bit plump and busty, and they don't seem to fit quite right on me, but the one I made turned out really well. I hope to post some pics tomorrow. There, I fixed the picture. Please forgive me -- along with learning how to sew, I'm also learning how to work a scanner. Bright Blessings! Aphrodite Pretty
awwwwww I love that blanket! I'm having a baby in september, and I wish that I could learn how to make something like that. Just outta curiosity, do you have any instructions?
You'd just to the patchwork for the outer layers (the quilt looking part) and then put quilt padding inside and sew those layers together with a grid of stitching. Add a binding border and you have a quilt. It's really pretty easy.
