I have a Blue Tongued Skink named Jim Morrison! He's a sweet little lizard, about a foot and a few inches long, a little chunky, short legs, reddish brown and blackish stripes and a white and pink belly, orange eyes, and the signature, blue tongue! He's about a year old and can live to be around 30 yrs old. He has no teeth, is very slow, and eats meal worms, canned dog food, rasberrries, blueberries, broccolli, carrots, hotdogs, and snails. Blue Tongued Skinks are native to Australia, Indonesia, and several small islands in that area. Heres, a pic of an Indonesian, which is the kind Jim is.......

I just saw a program about skinks last night. I've never heard of them before.
Have fun with your new friend:)

Actually I've had him for four months, so we're off to a great start. I even let him roam around on my bed, and he plays behind my stuffed aminals, and even gets along with my chuahuah. Heehee. He's pretty smart too, unlike my turtle Glen that liked to try and walk off the bed, he sees that he could fall and doesn't try to walk off, but he does the weirdest thing, he tries to climb up the wall, and he can't. :p . But Glen and Jim both have something in common, rock and roll. Accept Glen's fav style is heavy metal and Jim's is folk rock.
