I live in Kansas, I know its sad.

Can anyone tell me what the klamath falls area is like, as far as culture?
I really think I would love eugene though, can anyone help me out with ideas on where to search for land or mobile home to put on land while I build my house in the Eugene area? Like I said I live in Kansas so Im trying really hard to get all the info I can over the net. Any help or comments would be appreciated.

    love,

    triZ

I've never been to Kansas but I bet I'd rather live in Oregon than Kansas.

I think I'd be OK dealing with all the bullshit in Oregon than all the bullshit in Georgia.

60% of this hellhole voted Bush. I do love Atlanta though.

The only thing I hate about Oregon is not being able to pump my own gas damn it!

We used to have the cheapest gas in the country here in Atlanta but we run about 2.00 bucks a gallon as well......actually for reg. we got about 1.75, 1.80 right now but you can't put that shit in your car or it will rot.

I live in Bend, Oregon and I believe it was $2.30 (or was it $2.90?) per gallon, last I checked...

K-Falls is a hole filled with dirt and rednecks...my least favorite place in the state and I've been pretty much everywhere here. Eugene is great in the right areas. If you're bringing a mobile home, I'd say park it on the outskirts of Eugene. Gas is about 2.20 where I'm at and about 1.90 to 2.10 in the rest of the state. Make sure you have work before you move here or ya have an entrepru (forgot how to spell)......be willing to start your own business.

Sounds like gas prices are the same just about anywhere in the country so we don't have to worry about that being an issue on whether or not we want to move.

When I leave GA, Oregon is definately the destination.

I like Eugene but I wouldn't move there unless I had a job waiting, there's too much unemployment.

At least in southern Oregon there's less rain compared to Portland. You also won't be too far from Ashland which is supposed to be hippie-friendly. In any case if you like the outdoors you'll like Oregon.

I live in Washington but I'm in Oregon more of the time. Don't go to the klammath. Go more west, like tillamook or pacific city, that is where you will get the most break. The highways in these areas have a higher patrol but the dumbass klammath and portland/beaverton have a way higher count for the cities themselves!

Like I said before, your best chance would be Pacific City/Otis/Beaver area which is northwest Oregon. Awesome living, awesome fishing...

What's wrong with Yakima? Is it redneck or what?

The only real thing in Yakima is rednecks and white people who want to be black. Nothing much else. No trees, just open desert. So lame...

I live in Corvallis, OR, which is nothing special, it's close to Eugene (which has too many hippies). Sweet Home has a nice lake and is close to the mountains. And the east side is 99% mobile homes. Just kidding, but there are a lot of trailer parks out there.
Bend is yuppie, but sunny and clean and friendly. I have friends there and I always enjoy going, but it has this Perfect America feel to it, which is creepy. Tolerant place. (we did a biodiesel and waste veggie oil conversion booth at Bend earth day. Lot of rich greenies there)
