"All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin’ the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
But it’s not sane, It’s not sane"

    Today's a good day.

    Um, try again.
    "Right on" (Common hippie quote)
"Brotha" (Because hippies called everyone their brothers and sister)
    Get yer shit straight!
    :D

Well, my mom was a wanna-be hippie, my dad was a total hippie, and there were always at least 5 other people in the house at all times. Hehe to the Hendrix thing. My dad did almost the exact same thing with The Beatles (except sans TV. Parents didn't believe in TV. We had a non-working one with stickers that spelled out "read" on it, though). He was listening to the White Album on his record player and I was like "Who's that?" and he spent the next week immersing me in the Beatles. lol

As for my parents today.. They're divorced now. My dad is still a hippie (he was the one that gave me my car), my mom is now a drunk that works for Lockheed, and is therefore a terrible, terrible (and also sick) person. I wish she was still the way she was when I was little.

If you wanna know your parents when they were hippies, just look at them. Think about their behaviors and mannerisms, add some mood music, and just imagine. Or, ask them to play dress up with you. :p
