I'm debating on whether or not to call in sick for work tonight. I have to go in at 2am & there's this awesome band playing tonight. Besides, my hands & arms are half numb & they hurt like a motherfucker. What should I do? Oh, by the way, they're going to fire me soon because they say I'm not working fast enough. WHATEVER!

Take care of your arms and hands, whatever else you do.

I never listen to the voice of reason. I cannot physically do my job. Going out to see a band does not require the use of my hands. Thanks anyway!

If your arms are genuinely mucked up, yes, call in sick. If you go to the concert, no boozing or dancing, just sit or stand and enjoy. And find a way to make your arms not suck.
