I was in a local clothes shop wit ha friend earlier today, and I came across a cheapish pair of jeans. However, the legs are way too long for me, so I'm wondering if anyone knows how to modify them so that they're shorter. I'm also thinking it would be cool to make them into bellbottoms!

Anyone know any tricks of the trade?

You could cut them so that they're about half an inch to an inch too long, sew a line about where you want them to be, and fray the ends. I always loved that look.

To make them into bellbottoms... cut the outter side seam up to about the knee and insert a triangle of fabric...

For the bottom you could cut them to where you and them... fray them and get some cool ribbon and sew it to the bottom
