My name is Claire Laurie, I am 17 and I live just outside of Toronto. In September I will be doing a 60k walk for breast cancer research. The best hospital in Toronto for breast cancer is called Princess Margret, they have some of the best doctors and care. I am doing this walk even though no one in my family (luckily enough) has been affected by breast cancer but I know that it can emotionally destroy families. I am doing this walk becuase I believe that the youth have the most hope, we have the power to change the future (and i know that sounds cliche, but it's true). I want to do this to make sure that my kids aren't able to experience cancer in a fatal form because by that time, there will be a cure. I am doing this walk because breast cancer affects everyone and it doesn't need to. My goal is to raise $2000.00 by July 2005. I have just started, but I am asking anyone to help me out. does anyone know of anyone in this forum who is doing the walk aswell... i'm sort of sad that this important issue has not gotten a lot of feedback
