    Thanks :)

Any tips for the people on HipForums on how to get funding and accomodation for the event? :)

I've been offered funding through my local marxist forum group and they've offered to sort digs too. Dunno if I can make it though, summer gets busy and I ended up missing it last year :(

Maybe you could you give us guys an idea of what it's like at this event?

    Take it easy, Clairex :)

the train to london is easy
    and the tubes

    i travelled for the conference
    to london easy enough
    and funds
well the socialist party help me out
    and others, for socialists things
are you in a party or active within
    a party who may help....

    hi again...

    heres the party web site

    www.socialistparty.org.uk

    and the website

    join@socialistparty.org.uk

this will give you lots info about the party

if you would like to join any part
    ie
    students
    woman socialist
    etc...you can

they send details to the nearest branch
organiser who will be in touch with you
to see if you are interested in meeting up
and be a part of the activity that goes on
in your area and activity throughout the world....
they also help with costs of travelling and will
    help with sleeping arrangments.....

i joined this oh around a year ago ....{after years of
being part of the socialists workers party...
    in doncaster and scunthorpe,and the animal rights {SHARK....}
then moved here years after...... in 1996 to cambs.....
i found out that the socialist workers
and other socialist parties reformed{ for one vote for all
    which is unfair in smaller areas when votes matter} }
and formed the party now known to all as RESPECT..
i say respect what MR GEOGRE GALLOWAY
he is just using working class values to promote
hisself and i dont believe hes the socialists he likes
the puplic to see........sorry alittle moan about these other
socialists parties who choose to join things in a capitalists
    system rather than change all for the whole world..........}

so joined the only socilaists group that is not into
reforms under a capitalists rule ..ie the imperialistic
beliefs in divide. class divide and land ownership
    amongst the few..
and i was soon asked to run the branch
here {cambs.} its overwhelming , and
its hard work and long hours of talking and taking long
steps to opening this up to cambridge
the place where tourists and students dont
    see the divide ,
where i know a famliy of 6 people 5 kids live in a 2 bedroom place
    still waiting to be moved
yet the colleges run all and the residents suffer...
education divide , is the lowest form
of oppression, and only allows the few to
venture further in this capitalists system.
so it needed to be stopped .\
    to be changed .

plus our mps take a working man wage
and so do the general workers within
    the socialist party....

    anyway
    just alittle info

    take care from saff

    lovenpeace for all....

I'll try to take your assumptions of a lack of political maturity in me with a pinch of salt.

Why however would any member of the Socialist Party stick up or ally themselves with the authoritarian marxist SWP or their annual recruitment drive that is Marxism?

Now that is very baffling and not the Socialist Party I know....

    Oh I see....THAT Socialist Party.[IMG]

    Each to their own[IMG]

(oh and the 'don't do it' bit was about Marxism anyway, I gave up reading your recruitment piece after a couple of lines.)

    Tally ho!:)

I just thought it would be informative, with all the different speakers etc.

I'm not a member of the socialist or any other party (well backed RESPECT last year but am bowing out this year)

Don't you think it will be informative at least? :)

    mmmmm marmite :D

    the socialist party

yes i feel we are the nearest to marx
as you can get in many
    beliefs and active members
are actually marxists .some over 40 years
of studying all aspects of change..

but i dont agree to swp or respect
i would stand in my corner
    rather than stand down from
    the very life of socialism
its beliefs that make us stronge
    and change within the human
nature to read and learn speak and learn
    to help all around

    im still learning
like most here on this planet
the way forward is to break this system
    and allow change to grow...

thank you being interested in these words..

    hi there
    again

why do you place barriers up
    zonk
    not trying to be rude
but any form of learning seeking
and teaching the mind heart to move
    on
to change to grow out of oppression
    to learn something to help
is worth at least the listening ear..

i understand the harshness of the reality
of change how long it takes to be a world
wide movement ,but faith and trust
in your beliefs and the human race ,{its change
    from a profit based world to a fair one}
is enough to keep the movement moving
and changing to the peoples needs around.

    just a question..
    take care

    yes true

yet you dont have to feel oppressed by barriers
about anything..this life is for living

    anyway
ive posted on the summit G8 scotland thread
the details of the anti capitalists web site
for anyone to visit or ask about
    transport help and sleeping arrangements
    in scotland for the demo.protest..
