hey y'all, ive been reading around and the opinion of the folk here seems to be that you should hav an observer for most mushie trips. me and a couple of my girl friends were gonna trip together on mexican psilocybe cubensis shrooms, and none of us has tripped before...do we need a babysitter?also wat sorta dosage should we arrange for an evening of revelations and fun? cheers folks..any infoo would be much appreiciated..xxx p.s. anytips on wat is fun for trippin ...apart from jelly?
depending on the size of the group, the dosages each person is taking, maturity of the persons involved (determining this requires a lot of honesty and no favoritism, even towards yourself) and the strength of the mushrooms, you may or may not need someone to look after you. considering that there's a group of you and none of you have done them before, i'd suggest about an ounce of fresh cubensis each brewed into tea (use hot -not boiling- water and steep for about 20 minutes after cutting up the shrooms) and have one person on about half that dose or none at all to watch after you. large groups are more prone to getting into some kind of trouble or another as society has witnessed time and again, and if one of you has a bad reaction to the mushrooms and doesn't like them one person bitching and moaning about their bad trip can bring others down, so it would be good to have a sober person to take them away from the group to comfort them and calm them down. if its only 2-4 people though i'd say at least 35g fresh each, a bit of pot on the side, and a sitter would be unnecessary as long as you're in a safe, quiet, nonthreatening location with room to move around or break off from the group without getting lost.

i said 35g FRESH. fresh mushrooms are about 90% water, so 35g will dry out to around 3.5g. fresh shrooms are legal in some places and i don't know where she's from, but if she's from somewhere you can only get dry shrooms (god forbid) she'd readily realize from the price (if she didn't already figure out the obvious) that 35 grams just isn't happening.
