this is really weird (as well as painful) and its the 3rd time its happened. Normally wen i have sex with my bf i use condoms, but theres been 3 times we'v not used one (but its ok coz im on the pill). well its been fine for the first few hours after sex, then everytime abt a day later i get a horrible horrible pain in my clitoris and the little surrounding area, but its far worse in my clitoris, to the point that sumtimes i cant even walk it hurts so bad. the first time, i thought it was thrush, so i took sum canniston and it cleared up. the second time was weird, it hurt but i still had sex and then it went away! now the third time... its been around for a couple of days, im not sure how to get rid of it. i just cant understand y it only happens wen i have sex minus the condom! its like the total opposite of a condom allergy lol. can anyone help me out here? anyone eva experienced a similar problem? thanx in advance :)

well i kind of had a similar experience several times. Before, I have gotten cramps so bad that I almost couldnt walk the day after having sex, but I'm pretty sure that was caused from the penis going in too far. I have no idea what it could be that happened to u though, maybe u should see a doctor about it

I think I know what is the problem. You know condom has special liquid or something like it over it to move in and out more smooth and painless. The same "liquid" have penis and clitoris too, which keeps act to be WONDERFUL:)
<BUT> after years organisms lose this "liquid" and men need special ointment to keep act to be WONDERFUL :)
Maybe your partner has not enough "liquid" and his penis hurts your clitoris' walls?

The clitoris doesn't have walls, that's the vagina. The liquid you're referring to is lubrication, I presume? It's not a pain during sex, from what I gather, so I don't think lubrication is the likeliest problem.

To the OP: In all honesty, I don't know what could've gone wrong unless you had really long nails and scratched your clit while masturbating before, or you had your hood pierced and it's infected or just acting up. I would go see a Doctor about it ASAP - you don't want to lose any sensation there afterall.

I don't know if this info is any good, as I can't find any specific link on the web to it on any of the medical sites, but my friend has that problem a few days after sex and/or Orgasm, and it worried her. She had tests, and things, and the results were all negative. The only explanation she was given was that it is Clitoral Strain.

The Internal side of the Clitoris is apparently attached by 2 long nerve-filled muscle structures which move and react as the body becomes more aroused. At the point of Orgasm, this muscle cramps and spasms as the body enters its 'electrical chaos' stage, and triggers off surrounding muscles which allow, by more rapid contraction and spasming, the mouth of the Uterus to dip several times, into the cervical 'pool' where a majority of semen lies, in order to allow easier passage of semen into the womb for reproduction. As the body views Semen as a 'foreign body', it also sends chemicals to attack some of 'the enemy', and to help any survivors along, an additional
amount of female hormone is produced.

My friend was told that it is because her Clitoral muscles 'over spasm' that it is as if
she has in effect has a Sprain injury. As this muscles is not easily excercised in the way necessary to avoid straining - the actual Orgasm is usually set off fairly quickly, allegedly - this is not something that can be easily treated. The knock on effect, due to the antibody and extra hormones is that some women experience cramps - both uterine and bowel, bloating, stomach acid reflux, nausea, even headaches, anytime from 12 hours to 5 days after sex, and/or orgasm.

My friend was advised to take Ibuprofen after sex to aid any 'internal swelling' and treat as if having menstrual cramps. She is much better now.

Disclaimer : PLEASE SEE A GP BEFORE BLINDLY ASSUMING THAT THE TREATMENT MY FRIEND WAS PRESCRIBED IS THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOU !!! There could be other reasons as to why you experience pain afterwards ! See a Doctor !

I do not know if any of the above is fully correct, I can't find anything on any medical sites I've looked at, but this is what the Specialist told my friend, and she relayed to me when she came out of his office.

Are you sure its your clitoris and not your vagina?

It could just be that the friction is tearing you or wearing awy the skin because of a lack of lube. I understand what you're going through babe :(

Oh, excuse me I haven't realized the difference between clitoris and vagina before.. Pardon! :)
I don't know how this liquid is named. But I know that it's painful when it is not enough and therefore men put special ointment named "Vazelin" on penis before act.

Jinny, I think you are right it might be clitor strain
    Good luck crazy gurl!

yeah, this is my guess, too. condoms usually have a bit of lube, which can help you relax and produce more of your own natural lube. so i agree with retrogroove_grrl in that it sounds like friction. do you notice any swelling? that might also be a sign of friction, though not necessarily all of the time. have you noticed any cuts? take a mirror to yourself, if you feel like making sure. lastly, does either of you shave or trim your pubes? perhaps the stubble is causing more friction/irritation? anyway good luck, i hope it's nothing serious, and i hope you have much more pleasurable sex (and good times afterwards, too)! :D

You might be alergic to latex. An ex of mine had a similar problem.
