Do you ever handpaint clothes??

    I just did this skirt and instead of an applique i hand painted it =) i kinda dig it!!

    Very cute! I have thought about it but I have always been afraid that after a couple of washings it would look like crap. Let us know how the paint holds up.

    i sure will, there is this spray that you put over it that is supsed to lock it in forever so i will see how it goes............................

    it is on ebay LOL with washing instructions to make sure it doesnt get washed all insanely HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! just make sure you handwash in cold water and lay flat to dry!!!!!!!

    that looks great!!

    plainjane ~ if you use the correct paint you don't have to wrry about it getting all messed up. i have handpainted many things for my little ones and they still look good and the oldest will be 5. give it a try... it's really funa dn very ADDICTIVE!!! ;)

    he he he....i inadvertently painted some of my clothing.....acrylic paint is great! it will never wash out (or at least from my experience :D ).

    your skirt looks great funky fresh! i love the color of the material. :D

    yea i hand painted the trousers im wearing right now. some of it washed out but most stayed in and they still look cool. Thats was with acrylic.

    Then with fabric pens and paint i totally did over a pair of massive shorts which are also uv (cos the fabric paint was) so they look wikkid at raves :)

    Very nice... I never painted any but I have bought some painted skirts from other mama's and i love them... I never had any problems with them being washed

    I do a lot of stenciling on T-shirts. If you buy fabric medium for acrylic paint and mix it in 1 to 1 you will have no problem making it stay. It fades a little bit, but other than it is good and set in your clothes.
