Yeah thats not an option for me, i work in a suit and my office hate my hair how it is, so i want to try and stay in their good books cos they like me but i need to show they can be neat and get them to accept them

I think knotty boy has a gel for that sorta thing. I have never used it, but they say it works alot like wax without the draw backs. You can wash it out! Maybe something like that would work. Would they let you wear a tam to work? Or maybe just pull the dreads back in a pony tail.

mmm... perhaps aloe? I know my boss uses just plain old aloe for a hair gel... that would wash right out :) kinda funny having dreads and working where you have to wear a suit... i'm surprised they let you do that....they must be somewhat cool at least... when I started letting my hair dread I worked at a movie store, I had worked there a coupla years but my boss didn't appreciate my hair and she stopped putting me on the schedule.. blah... good ol discrimination :)

oh and for fly aways i have heard both weaving them into your other dreads at the roots, or tangling them up in a lil ball and try to keep em in your roots till they catch hold....

my tipas are looses and pointy and I like em that way. My partner had dreads for lotsa years and said they just fall off eventually. I'm thinking about getting mine stitched too though.

My tips have gone madly insane. Some are nice and round off(dont know how this happened) and others are just straight. But most are just goin every which way!

    |'ve just started me dreads, but what | find helps, is if you take the end of a dread between the thumb and index finger, [just hold the end, basically] and rub the dreads` end vigoriously into the palm of your other hand. It should tangle the end of the dread up into a ball.

This has worked incredibly well for me! | hope it does the same for you.

    1. Just be patient
    2. Twist and rip
    3. Use the method, just described in topic "3 months, blunt tips" --> last page.
    4. Use a felting needle to put them in, just like I did.
    5. Use a crocheting needle to put them in.
    6. Sew them

Hope you can choose one of the above :)

My tips are straight as a pin. I think it just takes a damn long time. And to get rid of flyaways, use the KnottyBoy dread gel. It's nice. I mix half gel and half water for a nice light effect. I don't like it THAT gelled and even though it seems to not be a thick gel, it holds very well at full strength (too well for me, that's why I dilute it)
