I am the same way! Not so much with all my fabric but my nice corduroy, hemps, and batiks. I have had some fabric for 5 years. I am just hanging onto it until I get good enough to use it :) I don't know what to tell you. Just take the plunge and tear into it. You could always practice on muslin fabric first. That stuff is so cheap. Good luck!!

I have this problem too, mainly because the fabric I use is from old clothes that I cut up, and i am usually real attached to the clothes because they have gotten me through tough times haha, but i agree with plain jane, just take the plunge and cut it up:) If you mess up you can always figure out a way to fix what you have done and even sometimes make something cooler and more unique:) Good luck though, post pics when your done, and have a wonderful day.

I always have to re-check twice (or three times, or four :)) and then take a deep breath! Being careful is good, saves you from making mistakes you might make if you're in too big of a hurry... as long as it doesn't stop you completely!

I know exactly what you mean. I try to buy cheap stuff less that 2 dollars a yard so if i mess it up i am only out 2 dollars, but you really can always find something to do with screw ups. If you are making a skirt and it gets messed up make a bag! :-D

Im never afraid of cutting fabric.... Just double check everything and cut away.. If you mess up you got scrap for patchwork or material for bags and all kinds of other stuff....
