    basic recipe:
1 cup black or green loose tea leaves
    4 cinnamon sticks, broken
    2 tblsp whole cloves
10 cardamon pods, slightly broken so the seed is exposed

you can add one or more of the following:
    - 1 tsp grated ginger
    - rind from 1 lemon or orange (my favourite!)
    - 1 vanilla bean, diced

Mix a spoonful of the tea in hot water and let steep. Strain and mix with honey and/or milk as desired.

Chai is definitely my favorite beverage, but I only drink it once in awhile. I usually have to resort to lemonade or something like that.

I usually make a tray full of ice cubes with some strong chai, and later brew another mug of it to make a cold chai with a bit of milk... that's awesome!

:) it's amazing how versatile it is :)

Chai mixed with lemonade (1 part of each) is also excellent...

... I had a friend make that recipe I posted but added a single star anise to steep into the one serving of tea, now normally I'm not a big fan of anise but it really did add a good flavour to the tea!
